The Clean Car Act (HB3424) for Illinois is coming up for a vote. Please support the efforts of: Protestants for Common Good, Environment Illinois, Environmental Law and Policy Center, The Sierra Club, Illinois Environmental Council, and Faith-in-Place, to clean up the air we breathe. Bob Milan, candidate for State's Attorney, will attend to meet voters. Matt Flamm, northwest suburban organizer for Senator Barack Obama's
campaign for President, will discuss how Sen. Obama won the Iowa
Democratic Caucus on January 3rd through grass-roots organizing and by
activating tens of thousands of new volunteers and voters. Flamm, who
was in Iowa for caucus week, will explain how northwest suburban
residents can become active in the Obama campaign.

In order to provide the voters the best and most efficient service at their polling place, the Cook County Clerk's Office would like to place one Equipment Manager (EM) in each precinct. The EM is one of the 5 election judges in the precinct and oversees the set up, maintainence, and troubleshooting of the equipment when necessary. New EMs must attend three classes on the voting equipment and receive extensive hands-on training. New EM's receive $500.00 for successfully completing three classes and working on Election Day.
